Rules and Guidelines for Working With Auto Aesthetics
Every fee, every policy, and every expectation we set before we show up, written out in plain language so nothing on your invoice comes as a surprise.
Book Your DetailThis page covers how we run the service side of the business: scheduling, cancellations, fees, what a detail can and can't do to a vehicle, and how far we travel. The legal terms that govern your use of this website live on our Terms & Conditions page.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
We Ask for 48 Hours Notice
Two days is what it takes to fill a slot that opens up, so 48 hours notice is what we ask for on any cancellation or schedule change. Call or text (607) 341-0037, or email [email protected], and we'll move you to the next opening that works. There's no charge for a reschedule at any point, no matter how many times you need to move it.
A $50 Fee Applies to Late Cancellations
Cancelling inside the 48-hour window means the crew, the van, and the products have already been committed to your vehicle for that block, and the fee for that is $50. We'd rather move your appointment than charge you, so the earlier you tell us, the easier this is for everyone.
Emergencies Are Handled Like Emergencies
Life happens, and a flat tire or a sick kid isn't a scheduling problem we're going to punish you for. Tell us what's going on and we'll work it out.
No-Shows
There's a 15-Minute Grace Period
If nobody's around at the scheduled time, we'll wait 15 minutes and try to reach you by phone and text before we call it a no-show. That's usually plenty, since most of the time it's a meeting that ran long or a gate code we didn't have.
The Fee Is $50, and Here's Why It's Written Down
We've had exactly one no-show in three years of full-time work, which tells you this isn't a problem we have. The fee exists to protect a schedule that runs two to three jobs a day, where a missed appointment isn't just an empty hour but a domino that pushes every job behind it, and publishing the number is what keeps it from happening in the first place. Enforcing it is rare and we intend to keep it that way.
A Deposit May Be Required on Future Bookings
After a no-show we may ask for a deposit to hold your next appointment. It goes toward the price of the service, so it's not an extra charge, just a way of making sure the slot is real.
Weather
Bad Weather Means a Free Reschedule
Rain, snow, and freezing temperatures all affect how the products behave on paint, and a rushed job in the wrong conditions is worse than no job at all. If the forecast turns we'll call you with our read on it, the decision from there is yours, and moving the appointment costs nothing.
Interior Work Can Usually Continue Under Cover
A garage, a carport, or any covered space is enough for interior work to go ahead as planned, so a wet forecast doesn't automatically cancel the day. Let us know what covered space you have and we'll tell you whether it's workable.
Payment and Fees
| Fee | Amount | When it applies |
|---|---|---|
| Late cancellation | $50 | Cancelled inside the 48-hour notice window |
| No-show | $50 | Nobody reachable after a 15-minute grace period |
| Card and invoice processing | 8 percent | Card and invoice payments. Cash and check carry no fee |
| After-hours callout | $50 | Work booked outside Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM |
| Excessive-garbage cleanout | $20 | Vehicles that need bulk trash removed before detailing can start |
| Travel beyond 40 minutes | $60 | Jobs more than 40 minutes from home base |
| Travel at around two hours | $120 | The longest drives, which are rare |
Payment Is Due When the Job Is Finished
We collect at completion, after you've had a chance to walk around the vehicle. If something isn't right that's the moment to say so, and we'd rather fix it on the spot than have you drive away unhappy.
Card and Invoice Payments Carry an 8 Percent Processing Fee
Paying by card or by invoice adds 8 percent to the total, which covers what the card companies charge us to run the transaction. This is a processing fee and it is not a tax of any kind, and it goes straight to the processor rather than to us. Cash and check carry no fee at all, so paying either way is the cheapest option for you.
After-Hours Callouts Add $50
Our regular hours are Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Work booked outside that window adds a $50 callout, and we'll always tell you before we schedule it rather than after.
The $20 Excessive-Garbage Cleanout Fee
Some vehicles need to be emptied before detailing can even start, and clearing out that volume of trash is a job on its own. Where that's the case, a $20 cleanout fee applies. Normal everyday clutter, a few cups and receipts and a gym bag, is just part of the work and never triggers it.
Your Vehicle and Your Belongings
Take Your Valuables Out Before We Arrive
Please clear out cash, wallets, electronics, sunglasses, garage remotes, and anything else you'd hate to lose before the appointment. We move seats, lift mats, and get into every crevice, and the last thing we want is to be handling your personal property. Anything we do find gets bagged and handed straight back to you.
We're Fully Insured
The business is fully insured, which is there for the rare case where something goes wrong on a job. It hasn't been needed, and we carry it anyway.
Flag Child Seats and Aftermarket Parts in Advance
Child seats, aftermarket wheels, wraps, custom audio, PPF, aftermarket trim, and any repainted panel all change how we approach a vehicle, so tell us about them when you book. A repainted panel in particular can react differently to polishing than factory paint, and knowing ahead of time lets us adjust the plan. We don't remove or reinstall child seats, so if you want the area underneath cleaned, please take the seat out before we arrive.
What Detailing Can and Cannot Fix
What a Detail Reliably Improves
Dirt, brake dust, road film, bug residue, most spills caught early, pet hair, and the buildup in vents and seams are all things we deal with every day, and the results there are consistent. A full detail runs about three to four hours on a typical vehicle, and most of that time goes into the areas people assume nobody checks: under the seats, the window sills, behind the wheels and mirrors, the gas cap, and the door jambs.
The Damage Cleaning Can't Reach
Some problems live below the surface, where cleaning has nothing to grab. Deep scratches that have gone through the clear coat, permanent staining that has set into fabric or leather over years, cracked or torn upholstery, sun-damaged and brittle trim, and odors that have bonded into a headliner are all different problems from dirt. A detail can improve how those areas look and smell, and it may reduce them noticeably, but it can't restore what's physically gone. Where the right answer is upholstery repair, paint work, or ozone treatment beyond what we offer, we'll tell you that instead of taking your money for a result we don't think we can deliver.
What Paint Correction and Ceramic Coating Are Actually For
Paint correction is designed to remove or reduce swirls, light scratches, and oxidation by levelling a very thin layer of clear coat, so it can help a great deal on a car with surface defects and it does nothing for a scratch that's already through to the primer. There's a finite amount of clear coat on any vehicle, which is why a heavily corrected car can't simply be corrected again indefinitely. Ceramic coating is a protective layer rated for roughly two to three years that's designed to make the surface easier to clean and more resistant to water spotting and UV fade, and it isn't armor. It won't stop a rock chip, a shopping cart, or a door ding.
We'd Rather Set Expectations Than Manage a Disappointment
Before any high-value job we'll walk the vehicle with you, point at the defects we expect to improve, and name the ones we don't think will fully come out. Ten minutes of that is the best predictor of whether you'll be happy with the result.
Monthly Maintenance Plans
Plans Are Auto-Billed, With No Processing Fee
Monthly plans bill automatically on the same date each month, and the 8 percent card processing fee does not apply to them. Full pricing for every plan is published on our maintenance plans page.
Thirty Days Notice to Cancel
Let us know 30 days out and the plan ends cleanly with no penalty and no last-visit charge. A call or an email is enough; there's no form to chase and nobody's going to try to talk you out of it.
A Skipped Month Reverts That Visit to Standard Pricing
The monthly rate is lower because a maintained vehicle never gets far enough out of condition to need the deep work, which means the visit is faster and uses fewer chemicals. Skip a month and the vehicle slides back, so the next visit is a full job again and it's priced at the standard rate for that service. Keeping the schedule is what keeps the rate.
Service Area and Access
Our Core Service Area Carries No Travel Fee
Binghamton, Endicott, Vestal, Johnson City, Windsor, and Owego are our home ground, and there's no travel charge anywhere inside that area. We're mobile, so we come to your driveway, your office lot, or wherever the vehicle is parked.
Travel Fees Outside the Core Area
We do travel further, including Syracuse, Ithaca, and Elmira in New York and Montrose and Scranton in Pennsylvania. A $60 travel fee applies where the job is more than 40 minutes away, and $120 where it's around two hours out, which is rare. You'll hear the number before anything is booked, never after the job is done.
What We Need From Your Driveway
We need a safe, reasonably level working space with room to open the doors fully and walk all the way around the vehicle. A slope steep enough to make water run under the car, a spot in active traffic, or a space too tight to work in safely will all cause problems. Ceramic coating adds one more requirement: the vehicle needs to sit in a dry, covered space for about 12 hours afterward while the coating cures, so a garage or a carport has to be part of the plan before that job gets booked.
Work We Don't Take On
Vehicles With Mold or Biohazard Contamination
We don't accept vehicles with mold growth or biohazard contamination. Those need specialised remediation with equipment and protocols outside the scope of automotive detailing, and treating them as a deep clean would put everyone who rides in that vehicle afterward at risk. If you're unsure what you're dealing with, send a photo to [email protected] and we'll tell you straight.
Dealership Accounts
We don't take dealership detailing accounts. That's a focus decision that lets us put our time into fleet and commercial accounts, recurring maintenance customers, and vehicle owners who care about the result.
Questions About Any of This
Ask Before You Book, Not After
If anything here affects your job, the travel fee, the access requirements, or what we think we can do for your paint, ask before you book. Five minutes on the phone beats a surprise on the day.
